Three-day workshops conducted in the style of a political, stakeholder meeting. Rather than aiming to develop comprised positions that all can “live with,” these workshops result in: (i) a white paper, written by the stakeholders with our guidance, of practical value to decision-makers for offering tractable explanations for why the issue of concern is controversial - explanations indicating a route to resolution, (ii) and acquisition of skills & resources by workshop participants - skills & resources allowing continued ethical discourse after the workshop.
These workshops are no substitute for inclusive political discourse, but are necessary for conservation and management that is wise, fair, and sustainable.
